The Recreation Outdoor Center (ROC) in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, boasts a rich history of community engagement and versatile functionality. Its adaptable design accommodates a plethora of activities, serving as a covered ice rink for hockey, public skating, and broomball during colder months, and transforming into a turfed field for baseball, softball, soccer, and lacrosse when the weather warms. This dynamic space has also hosted beloved traditions like the spring egg hunt on its fresh turf and prestigious events such as the National Hockey League’s (NHL) Minnesota Wild hosting a free, open-to-the-public outdoor practice in November 2023. Designed with a nod to Minnesota’s hockey culture and a commitment to year-round utility, the ROC stands as a testament to innovation and community spirit, offering an unparalleled indoor-outdoor experience that caters to diverse interests and activities throughout the seasons.
