The Legal Revolution

Roula Alkatout is the Director of Philanthropy at The Legal Revolution and we recently had an opportunity to learn a little bit more about her work.
Screenshot SMA: How did you first become involved in The Legal Revolution?
Roula: Before The Legal Revolution, I was involved in other social justice organizations and I’ve been lucky enough to work with all the incredible folks at TLR since it was first launch in 2012! My role is to fundraise for our programs and law firm and it’s such a joy to be in this work!

SMA: What has been one of your most rewarding experiences in your time with The Legal Revolution?
Roula: One of my most rewarding experiences has been when I have gotten to be part of telling one of our scholars that they were accepted into law school. Being able to hear the joy in their voices when they find out they’ve been accepted into law school, and my colleagues’ excitement when they got to share the news, was truly one of my favorite days of work since being at The Legal Revolution!

SMA: Ok, this one’s for fun! What is your favorite item on the delicious All Squared menu?
Roula: My new favorite on the menu is the basil pesto! It is sooo tasty, and the pesto is made in house!

The Basil Pesto in all it’s glory…
